Backyards: Toronto

Originally screened in Nottingham, England as part of the NOW Festival, this work was more recently shown for the duration of the month of January, 2006 in Toronto's Dundas Square. The piece was created by photographing thousands of city sidewalk weeds and composited together in stop-motion fashion. The video was intermixed into an advertising schedule on an outdoor video billboard. Curated by Michael Alstad and Michelle Kasprzak as part of Transmedia :29:59.
