Lorazepam takes its name from a tranquilizer that is typically prescribed to treat posttraumatic stress disorder. When taken in higher doses, it produces severe amnesia for the duration the drug is active. For this project, an effective dose of the drug lorazepam is ingested causing self-induced amnesia, which lasts for the timespan of approximately six-hours. With assistance I spend that period photographing.
